Driven by Sound... Defined by Energy...
ELI YAZ is the hard techno alias of Elie Abwi — an Australian-born, Netherlands-based artist best known worldwide as the powerhouse behind Toneshifterz. With over a decade of experience performing on the biggest stages in hard dance, Elie created ELI YAZ to dive into a new sonic frontier: fast, high-energy techno with relentless groove and cutting-edge production.
Inspired by the raw intensity of the underground but shaped by years of mainstage mastery, ELI YAZ blends driving rhythms, distorted kicks, hypnotic basslines, and unexpected drops into a sound that commands the dancefloor. His music is engineered for impact — clean, bold, and full of momentum. It’s hard techno with purpose: not just noise, but carefully crafted energy.
Since launching the project, ELI YAZ has already gained attention from heavyweights like DYEN, Shlømo, and Charlie Sparks, while collaborating with names like Will Sparks, Restricted, and more. His tracks are finding their way into warehouses, festivals, and late-night club sets around the world — a testament to the versatility and punch of the ELI YAZ sound.
Whether you know him from his hardstyle legacy or are just discovering the name, ELI YAZ represents a new chapter — one that fuses underground grit with professional-level polish, and passion with precision. This is music for ravers, built by someone who’s lived it from every angle.

Bassface
Released on Free For All (FFA) on the 2nd of May, Bassface is a raw and unrelenting hard techno cut that reimagines a legendary vocal for a new generation of ravers. Originally sampled from Outbreak – Bassface, a hardstyle classic produced by Elie Abwi (aka ELI YAZ), the track fuses distorted kicks, gritty textures, and industrial energy to deliver a peak-time weapon built for dark, sweat-soaked dancefloors.
What began as a tribute project from SJOSJO, inspired by his early love for the harder styles, quickly evolved into a full-force collaboration when he connected with Elie himself. Together, they transformed the concept into a modern rave anthem, bridging past and present with style and impact.
With early support from artists like DYEN and Jazzy, and later on O.B.I., Franky-B, Cassie Raptor, LUCA MAIER and Lex Ledu, Bassface is already making waves in the scene. For ELI YAZ, it’s a return to the roots with a raw, uncompromising edge that continues to push the boundaries of hard techno.
